A Pair of Late Regency Gilt Bronze Figural Sinumbra Lamps, c. 1830, Messenger and Sons, base marked "The Act Directs Messenger and Sons, Birmingham", standards cast as Nike-the winged Goddess of Victory-holding a cornucopia of grapes surmounted by reticulated trefoil rims, pedestals festooned with grape vines, raised on incurvate octagonal bases, original cut and etched shades with chimneys, height 36 in., width 10 3/4 in., now electrified.  Sold for $25,095.00 on January 31, 2015.

An American Ormolu and Polished Gilt Bronze Six-Light Gasolier, mid-19th c., in a variant of the grapevine pattern, with hollow stems to contain the gas tubing, articulated as cornucopiae issuing grapes and fruits, alternating with bronze-patinated stags' heads, the stem components featuring patinated trumpet-blowing children in grape arbors, below acanthus and grape-wrapped balusters, surrounded by pendant grape clusters, height 60 in., diameter 36 in. Sold on September 30, 2006 for $22,325.00

A Pair of Regency Patinated Bronze and Gilt Brass-Mounted Three-Light Argand Chandeliers, 1822, Johnston & Brookes/Hector & Davidson, London, labeled, dated and numbered "S3L" on reverse of heads, foliate canopies, snake shaped handle mounts, urn form fonts over scalloped bowls issuing masks and acanthus mounted arms, bud shaped finials, cut and frosted shades, height 32 in., width with shades 17 in.  Sold for $20,315.00 on January 31, 2015.

A Fine Pair of Louis XVI Bronze Doré and Rouge Royale Marble Five-Light Candelabra, c. 1790, each having a standard in the form of a Classically-garbed woman holding a torchère from which emerge five delicate scroll arms with foliate decoration, the drum plinths encircled by friezes of cavorting cupids in bas relief, acanthus candlecups and antique embellishments, paper label of a French retailer on underside of one. Note: Some chips and wear to gilt surface, one loose molding, now wired for electricity, height to center finial 33 1/2 in. Sold for $18,800.00 on July 12th, 2008

A Late Regency Brass and Gilt-Bronze Six-Light Argand Chandelier, c.1830-1850, attributed to Thomas Messenger and Sons, anthemion canopy, urn standard with acanthine leaves over cylindrical font, a tri-lobal dish issuing foliate arms, original cut and frosted shades, chimneys, height 40 1/2 in., width 40 in., now electrified.  Sold for $13,742.00 on January 31, 2015.


Tiffany “Pomegranate” Table Lamp, c. 1910, impressed mark “TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK” on shade, patinated four‑legged bronze base, model 440 “Villard”, with sliding standard, on paw feet, 3‑socket cluster, adjustable height 25 ‑32 1/2 in., dia. 16 in. Sold on April 22, 2017 for $13,420.00

A Monumental Pair of French Patinated and Gilt Bronze Two-Light Argand Lamps, early 19th c., each urn-form reservoir with dolphin handles, dolphin arms with shell-decorated lights, fluted tapered standard with acanthine capital and socle, over treble hippocamp supports on incurvate triangular plinth, with scroll and paw feet, four period frosted baluster-form shades, now electrified, with burner mechanisms partially intact, height 29 1/2 in., width 19 1/2 in.
